The 2026 Leucan Ski Challenge: An Exceptional Effort for Children with Cancer

Leucan is proud to announce that the 2026 edition of the Leucan Ski Challenge, co-presented by Fenplast and Thaïzone, raised $800,392 to support children with cancer and their families.

Since the very first edition of the Leucan Ski Challenge in 2006, nearly 14 million dollars has been raised by more than 31 700 skiers and snowboarders. The donations raised, by both beginners and expert skiers alike, are essential as they help fund Leucan’s services, including emotional support and assistance for families throughout treatment through services tailored to their needs.

An event that took place across Quebec

This year, the Leucan Ski Challenge was held at four mountains across the province: Stoneham Tourist Resort, Mont Habitant, Le Valinouët and Bromont, Mountain of Experiences — the challenge’s host mountain since its very inception. For its part, Mont Habitant joined the adventure, offering a highly successful debut. Participants enjoyed a day full of surprises on Saturdays, March 14 and 21, 2026.

A success made possible by dedicated partners

The success of this year’s event is due to the involvement of partners and collaborators who are deeply committed to the cause of children with cancer.

Leucan would like to highlight the valuable contribution of Fenplast and Thaïzone, the event’s official co-presenters. The association also extends its warmest thanks to Niobec, a loyal partner in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, as well as Subaru Rive-Nord, a member of the Leclair Group and the event’s partner in the Laurentians.

The event would not have been possible without the involvement of dozens of dedicated volunteers, whose energy, generosity, and commitment were essential to the success of the day. Their contribution makes a real difference for the families supported by Leucan.

Video games that liven up the slopes

This year’s theme revolved around the idea of “Your Challenge, Tailored to You.” Inspired by the world of video games, it offered a setting that was both fun and inclusive, where each participant could choose their own pace, abilities, and level of involvement—just as one would select the difficulty level of a mission.

“The Leucan Ski Challenge is an incredibly inspiring and dynamic event. We entrusted Erod Creative Agency with the design and rollout of its 2026 campaign. The video game theme enhanced the experience for our generous participants with nods to gaming, making their participation even more motivating. “Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this 21st edition; you are making a real difference in the lives of hundreds of families whose children are battling cancer,” said Julie Charbonneau, Director of Communications and Marketing at Leucan.
